KommerceServer Freight Overview
During the checkout process in the KommerceServer webStoreFront, the user is presented with a list of available shipping options to choose from along with the cost of each option. This topic describes the shipping options that are available for you to offer to your web customers as well as how to configure those options on your KommerceServer system.
Setting up shipping options on your KommerceServer system requires performing the following tasks:
The freight methods define the shipping methods that will be made available to customers in your online store during checkout. The calculation of freight cost can be completely user-defined to your specification or KommerceServer can interface directly to a carrier's API for real time freight calculations. The supported interfaces are Federal Express, United Postal Service (UPS), and Old Dominion.
Real-time integration interfaces for other third party carriers can be developed to work with your KommerceServer system at an additional charge. Contact your Kore Technologies representative for more information.
